Something a lot of people don't address on these survival bugout shelters is the paint choices. Here I compare a mold and mildew resistant paint to a polyurethane paint, both are gloss enamels. The Polyurethane floor paint is tricky to deal with but gives the best overall results and should definitely be considered for the outer layers on surfaces in places where you will not be temperature controlling the interior year round. It is also a good paint for exteriors, but has issues with running down vertical surfaces when applied with a brush. One way to avoid that problem and get a nice finish is to go with multiple layers sprayed on. Don't use regular "eggshell finish" interior house paint in a trailer where you expect to be able to keep it clean and mildew free when you are not there. Caulking, sealing and filling should use rubberized silicone products which never fully harden since other materials will crack. One exception I made on this though was that I used a regular grout between the tiles, but so far so good on that. The polyurethane paint originally made for wood floors will give an extra tough finish for long wear and easy cleaning.
